Negative Calorie Balance

We work on a very simple principle of negative calorie balance for offering weight loss to an individual through diet, activity and behavior modification.

VLCCThis program is based on regulated or modified diet, guided active and passive activity and appropriate behavior modification.

Our program is very scientifically developed. We work on the basic principle that each kilogram of adipose tissue represents 7,700 Kcal. The loss of 1 kg of adipose tissue means that the diet would be deficient by 7,700 Kcal. Based on this scientific fact, a calorie deficit of about 1000-1050 calories/day from the requirement for weight maintenance can result in loss of about 4 kg/month for an otherwise medically fit obese individual. Similarly, a calorie deficit of 500 Kcal/day will help to lose almost 0.5 kg per week or 2 kg in a month. This rate of weight loss however varies from individual to individual based on medical problem and other factors.

The varying weight loss parameters are set for all the clients depending on their age, sex, activity pattern and health status. The desirable rate of weight loss is offered to the clients based on an in depth study of their physiological and pathological conditions.

The guidelines for the type of Services to be offered are also kept in mind under specific conditions. For example, clients suffering from acute infectious disease are offered only exclusive Counseling Services by the Team of Professionals
